NEXT GENERATION NETWORK SERVICES (IPv6)
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) had given Agencies until June 2008 to migrate their network backbones to IPv6 technology, with a host of other deadlines in the meantime.
Symfonia is fully equipped to provide complete IPv6 network migration solutions to the Agencies:
Depth and Breadth of Experience – Our IP engineers have many years of experience in IP networking gained at leading Telecom service providers and equipment manufacturers. Our Program Managers have specific network migration and next generation network services experience gained at leading Telecom service providers and equipment manufacturers.
Proven Past Performance – Our IP engineers include some of the original designers and implementers of IPv6 technology on the DoD Research and Engineering Network (DREN) backbone, one of the first networks to migrate to IPv6. This network has more than 150 sites in continental United States (CONUS), Hawaii, Alaska and Europe and bandwidths ranging from DS-3 to OC-48.
Our team has helped many Federal Agencies with initial assessment, IPv6 address planning, designing, network architecture, test-bed and pilot network setup, application testing including network management, performance tools, and implementation of IPv6 protocol in the network core. These services also include upgrading of security elements, such as firewalls, Intrusion prevention and detection systems (IDP/IPS).
